The City of Ellsinore is located in Carter County, Missouri approximately 23 miles east of Van Buren on U.S. highway 60. Incorporated in 1913, our small town of about 360 people can be found nestled deep within the Mark Twain National Forest in the Ozark Mountains of southeast Missouri.

Please help the City and conserve resources by using the recycling trailer which is parked behind City Hall the first full week of each month. We accept newspapers (tied in bundles), steel & aluminum cans, and plastic containers. Please rinse out all containers and remove bottle caps and rings.
